Online Membership

From visitor to family.

Attending is wonderful. Belonging is better. Membership is how you go from someone who comes to church to someone this church can count on — and who can count on us.

"Membership isn't a club you join. It's a family you commit to — for the seasons that are easy, and especially for the ones that aren't."
What Membership Means

A commitment, not just a checkbox.

Becoming a member means you're choosing this church family on purpose — not just as a place you attend, but as a people you belong to. It means we can call on you, and you can call on us.

It's not about earning a badge or unlocking a title. It's about putting down roots somewhere real, so that when life gets hard — and it will — you're not facing it as a stranger in the room.

The Process

Four simple steps.

We've kept this as light as we can while still being intentional about it. Most people complete the whole process within a month.

1

Attend a Membership Class

A short class covering who we are, what we believe, and what membership actually looks like day to day.

2

Meet With a Pastor

A relaxed conversation, not an interview. We want to know your story and answer any questions you have.

3

Submit Your Application

Fill out the online form below. It takes about five minutes, and there's no wrong way to answer.

4

Welcomed as a Member

We introduce new members during a Sunday service — a small moment that means a lot to us.

Why It Matters

What membership actually changes.

A Voice in Church Decisions

Members have a say in key decisions that shape our church's direction and future.

Real Pastoral Care

Members are who our pastors know best, pray for by name, and walk closely with through hard seasons.

Room to Lead & Serve

Many leadership and ministry roles are reserved for members — it's how we entrust responsibility wisely.

Ready to take the next step?

Fill out what you can — a pastor will follow up to walk through the rest with you personally.

No problem at all — a pastor will reach out to talk through baptism as part of your membership journey. It's a meaningful step, and we'd love to walk it with you.

By applying, I'm expressing my desire to formally join Nazareth Gospel Mission as a member. I've read and agree with the church's Statement of Faith (see About Us), and I'm asking to commit to this church family — to worship together, grow together, and care for one another.

Note to the church team: the covenant wording above is a starting point, not a finished membership covenant — please have your pastors or elders review and replace it with your church's actual commitments before this goes live.

Your information is sent securely and reviewed only by our pastoral team.

Questions & Answers

Membership FAQs

You're welcome to apply first — we'll get the class scheduled as part of your follow-up. Some people prefer to attend the class before applying, and that's fine too. Either way works.

Yes. Baptism is part of the journey, not a precondition for starting it. A pastor will talk with you about what that next step could look like, at your own pace.

Most people complete all four steps within about a month, depending on when the next membership class falls. There's no rush — we'd rather get it right than get it fast.

We'd love to talk this through with you directly, since it depends on your specific situation. Reach out via our contact page and a pastor will follow up.

Life changes, and that's alright. Just let our office know and we'll update your status with care, no awkwardness involved. We're glad you were part of the family for however long that lasted.

"Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular."

That's completely fine. Come visit a few more Sundays, or reach out with questions first — there's no pressure here.
